April's coming...

Winter's out and spring's back wearing cutoff jeans and a flat bill cap. Doesn't it feel nice?

Shady Maples' headline show last month at Bottom of the Hill was unreal. We welcomed Shira Lee Katz and Micah Dubreuil into the fold on cello and organ, the house was packed with friends and strangers, and we collected a bunch of amazing press from some local icons.

A LOOK AHEAD

On Saturday, April 27 we're playing a full band headline set San Francisco's most enigmatic underground venue, Viracocha. No description does justice to Viracocha's vibe. It's run by a world class team of artists and antique aficionados, was once a Santeria ceremonial space, and draws some of the finest local acts to its subterranean stage. Join us and openers The Steel Wheels on the corner of 21st and Valencia next month. Doors at 8pm, $10, all ages welcome.

A LOOK BACK

The run up to our show at Bottom of the Hill last month was a thrilling ride with press rolling in the San Francisco Chronicle, KQED radio, and the influential local blog, The Bay Bridged. Click the links to read and listen:

San Francisco Chronicle- an interview I did with writer Tony DuShane
KQED- the segment on Shady Maples is three quarters of the way through the broadcast
The Bay Bridged- a piece about our new lineup and sound

NEW RECORDINGS

In a couple of weeks I'm heading out to New York to hole up with my good friend Drew Nix at his studio in Garrison up in the Hudson Valley. We'll be recording a handful of new songs and hoping his barn walls keep us warm enough. Stay tuned for more...

As always, thank you for your support and take it easy.
